- Allistar Quazzum is a three piece band straight out of Edmonton, Alberta. Part of the band consists of one Benjamin Sept, plays drums, sings and contributes the occasional hand clap or tambourine shake. Another part is made up of one Elliott Kuss, who makes noises with his guitar, sings, shouts, screams and whispers. The private part is one Karlan Morrison, the latest addition to AQ, this handsome, long time friend plays da bass and uses his voice in ways that makes even the nicest mics have orgasms. Allistar has been creating just the sweetest jams for almost five years and haven't stopped since. We've played numerous shows at community halls, skateparks, and performing art centers. Our very first live performance was in a small club on a sunday evening, opening for the band Ill Scarlett and competing in a battle of the bands contest. We hit the stage and played our little hearts out and received a great response from the crowd. We won the first place prize in the competition. We also received second place in another competition at the Trans Alta Arts Barn in Edmonton the following year. In 2007, Allistar entered a small studio in our high school and cut a small but cute as hell EP entitled "The Really Pretty Girls", which included 8 tracks and original photography and artwork by Elliott himself. They produced the entire disc themselves and had the help of some enthusiastic friends on some of the tracks. Allistar Quazzum brings the fun to each one our shows, handing out party blowers, talking to the attendees, and giving a stage performance so lively one fan called us, "the funniest band I've ever seen." Some musicians say that playing live on stage is a great form of escapism and exploring their own art. We agree but it's also a great place for Ben to take off his shirt and make ladies and gentlemen alike scream for more. As we grow, our music grows. Every song we write has a different vibe from the last. From being so in love that you'd make that special someone their own private igloo for two, to having to sleep on the floor because things aren't the same anymore, each song will please the many senses and emotions in the human anatomy. We have no intention of stopping anytime soon. We strive to be better. We strive to be faster. We strive to be smarter. We will do all of these...and more. We are Allistar Quazzum...the sound to stop the ringing in your ears.
